💳 Understanding How ValPay Bills Processing Fees

ValPay bills merchant processing fees based on the discount method selected for the account. Below is a breakdown of how each method works.

1. Daily Discount Method

With Daily Discount, processing fees are deducted from each deposit before funds are sent to your bank account.

  • The fees are subtracted automatically from the daily batch total.

  • The remaining net amount is what you’ll see deposited into your bank account.

  • This means the deposits you receive will already have your processing fees taken out.

Example:

If you processed $1,000 and your fees were $25, you’d see a $975 deposit in your bank account.

2. Monthly Discount Method

With Monthly Discount, fees are not deducted daily. Instead, they’re collected once per month via ACH (or the store’s local debit currency).

  • The gross deposit will match the net settlement amount throughout the month.

  • Around the 5th of each month, ValPay will debit your account for the total processing fees from the prior month.

  • If the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday, the debit will occur on the next business day.

Descriptor for these monthly fee deductions will vary but will include Valpay.
