PCI compliance refers to the technical and operational standards set out by the PCI Security Standards Council. It is designed to protect cardholder data and applies to any organization that accepts, transmits, or stores that data.
All merchants are required to maintain PCI compliance for each merchant account.
The PCI can be completed by either the online survey or over the phone with a PCI representative. Most merchants find using the support phone line is a faster, easier process then the online form as the verbiage can be daunting. When you call for PCI support, you will be required to verify who are, and that you have the correct access to complete the survey. They will do this by verifying the TIN and legal name of the account.
