The Virtual Terminal allows you to manually enter and process card payments directly from the Unified Portal. This feature is permission-based and may not be available to all users.

Step 1: Access the Virtual Terminal

  1. From the left-hand navigation menu, select Virtual Terminal.

  2. If you do not see the Virtual Terminal option, please contact [email protected].

    • Access to the Virtual Terminal is controlled by user permissions.

Step 2: Select the Store

Once inside the Virtual Terminal, you will see two boxes on the screen.

  1. Use the Store drop-down to select the store you want to process the transaction under.

  2. The system will automatically populate the available currency options for that store:

    • If only one currency is available, it will be selected automatically.

    • If multiple currencies are available, you will be prompted to choose one.

Step 3: (Optional) Select a Saved Card

If you have previously saved cards as tokens, you will see a Saved Cards section.

  1. Open the drop-down to view available saved cards.

  2. Select the card you wish to charge.

If you do not want to use a saved card, you may skip this step and enter new card details later.

Step 4: Enter the Payment Amount

  1. Enter the amount you want to charge the card.

Step 5: Choose Payment Security Options

You will see options to require additional verification:

  • Require Billing Address

  • Require CVC

We strongly recommend selecting these options when possible.

Providing billing address and CVC information helps:

  • Reduce processing costs

  • Lower interchange rates

  • Minimize declined transactions

Not selecting these options may result in higher fees or increased declines.

Step 6: Initialize the Payment

  1. Click the green Initialize Payment button.

This will populate the second box on the right-hand side, where card details are entered.

Step 7: Review Transaction Summary

At the top of the right-hand box, you will see a transaction summary, including:

  • Store name

  • Amount being charged

  • Click the pencil icon if you need to edit this information before proceeding.

Step 8: Enter Card Details

In the card entry section, fill out:

  • Card number

  • Expiry date

  • Security code (CVV)

  • Cardholder name

If you would like to save this card for future use:

  • Check Save for my next payment method

This will securely tokenize the card.

Step 9: Enter Billing Address

Complete the billing address fields:

  • Country/Region

  • Street

  • House number

  • Postal code

  • City

Providing accurate billing information helps improve authorization success rates.

Step 10: Submit the Payment

  1. Click the Pay button to submit the transaction.

Step 11: View Transaction Result

Once the transaction is processed:

  • A confirmation box will appear showing whether the payment was approved or declined

  • Any relevant reference numbers will also be displayed

πŸŽ‰ You have successfully processed a payment using the Virtual Terminal.

Step 12: Confirm the Payment

You can confirm and review the transaction at any time by navigating to the Payments tab in the Unified Portal.
