⚠️ Note on older terminal models: The P400 Plus / P400, M400, V400m and V400c can no longer be ordered new because their PCI PTS security certification has expired. You can keep using one you already have, and transfer it using the steps below, but troubleshooting and warranty support for these models ends on April 30, 2027. If you'd like to upgrade instead, contact your support team.
🧭 When to Use This
You already own an Adyen terminal that's currently set up under another company's account, usually a previous payment provider that also uses Adyen, and you want to keep using it with ValPay instead of ordering a new one.
✅ This is supported. Adyen terminals can be moved from one company account to another with the right approval.
✅ What You'll Need
Terminal details: make, model and serial number. The serial number is on the sticker on the back of the device, or in the device settings.
Written approval from your previous provider: an email or letter from an admin at that company confirming they approve moving the terminal. It must come from someone with admin access, not a general support agent.
📝 How to Submit the Request
Send your support team a request with:
Subject: Adyen Terminal Company Account Change Request
The terminal's make, model and serial number
The written approval from your previous provider (attached or pasted in)
Your business name and the location where the terminal will be used
Your support team coordinates the move and keeps you updated. Your support team is the team that set up your account or the one you normally contact for help.
🔧 After the Transfer: Reset the Terminal
Once the terminal has been moved, its old configuration needs to be removed before it can be set up on your account. On keypad terminals, go to Admin Menu → Config → Remove/Erase. Your support team can walk you through this and help finish the setup.
